Has anyone taken a program through Ashworth College online?

I’m thinking about taking their pharmacy technician certificate program but wanted to see if anyone else has experience with them…or can recommend another online pharm tech certificate?

If your state licenses pharmacy techs then make sure that Ashworth is acceptable in your state before you spend money there.

Ashworth is not regionally accredited (they are DETC accredited) so if you plan to transfer that coursework to a community college later then know that Ashworth credit will likely not transfer.

Except in states that require a pharm tech license, that profession doesn’t require college. Some employers like certification. The Ashworth program should be acceptable preparation for the certification exam but check to be sure. I understand that PTCB is the leading certifier. https://www.ptcb.org//AM/Template.cfm?Section=Home1

I did a program at Ashworth a few years ago in Hotel Management in order to add a training specialty to my work. I found the classes to be excellent. The material was presented at a level equal to the community college level and the instructional support was adequate. The cost and self-paced timing was my real motivator.

The result of that course was that I then passed a standardized exam on “hospitality industry knowledge” from one of the industry organizations at near 100%. In my opinion, that validated the coursework more than sufficiently.

In my case, it was worth the time and money. Your mileage may vary.
